Maxwell Oil Tools needed a modern website that mirrored their cutting-edge engineering approach. I developed a custom WordPress theme from the ground up — based on unique designs provided by the client — with no repeating templates or pre-built page builders. Each page is its own tailored experience, structured specifically for its content.
While I wasn’t involved in the design process, I translated the mockups into precise HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP code, developing several reusable components such as contact and CTA blocks. Elementor was selectively integrated to allow for content editing on certain areas, like technical accordions for Spec Sheets and Case Studies.
One of the project’s standout features is the highly customized scroll-based animation on product pages like Helix, where content slides horizontally while a diamond-shaped element remains fixed — created through bespoke JavaScript and CSS.
The site also includes a heavily modified Slick Slider integration — with extended next/prev controls and supplementary navigation elements beyond what the native script supports.
I built approximately 95% of this project before leaving the company, handling both the frontend and backend code — but did not manage the final launch.
